Browse and use the process

Picture to illustrate process Pictures are integrated to process description elements in the workflow view to ease the understanding of the process. Based on the references from the picture the process workflow menu tree is generated automatically.
Phase illustrated by flow chart Browsing the process by clicking the picture or the menu tree to the left brings the user further into the process. Every process element can be documented by both picture and text. Tool tips are generated automatically when integrating the picture.
Example of task group in discipline view Here the user has opened the disciplines accordion and browsed to a task group below requirements management. The group consists of two tasks, which can be seen both in the menu tree and in the Roles and Responsibility table in the description element. The Roles and Responsibility table is generated based on the RACI relations (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) between the role and the task. If you are not familiar with the RACI concept, please look at the description here.
Example of a task Clicking the link of one of the tasks brings us to the task description element. Please notice the table of steps to be performed. Each step consists of a role responsible for performing the step, an one-line action statement, a block of text further describing what to do, and possible references back to standards and models (not shown). Furthermore, tasks relates to roles (responsibilities), artifacts (inputs/outputs), and guidance elements can be attached to the task description elements e.g. templates, checklists or examples.
Overview of discipline elements Shifting to the Types accordion and selecting the disciplines node in the tree lists all elements of the type discipline. The table is generated automatically.
Search across description elements A complete index of all created description elements and their content is maintained and published together with the process content. The search engine is aware of the different types of description elements in Callis Author and displays search results by type and name of element for easy and fast identification of the wanted process elements.
Reports menu An extensive set of useful standard reports are shipped as part of Callis Author. Depending on the actual need and situation, the organization can choose to generate process output with all or only some of the reports.
Example of page in PDF output Example of one of the PDF pages generated by Callis Author when building process output to PDF target. The example page taken from the part of the file documenting discipline, task groups and tasks.
Next PDF page The next page of the PDF output. Please notice that all information represented in the web based process output is also available in the PDF output.
