Author the process

Authoring and maintaining process descriptions is easy and effective when using the Callis Author web 2.0 enabled editor.

A number of installations modes are supported ranging from a single user, local installation with everything integrated into the installation files up to a setup where multiple users are accessing and editing different packages using a server based installation.

In either case the process documentation is easily and effective established and published to the organization. Please have a look at the follwing screen shots from the editor.

Online editing of description elements Every description element (e.g. task, role, activity, artifact, etc) can be edited online using the web based editor. In this screen shot a task is edited. Only a subset of the data entities for the task description element are shown. When an element is updated, the internal representation is updated and all affected description elements are re-generated consistently in run-time. Immediately after saving, the changes can be inspected exactly as they will appear to the end user when the process later is released and rolled-out.
Online editing of steps in tasks Steps in task are edited using the step editor. Adding and editing steps are easily done. Furthermore, steps can be moved and copied between tasks, if it is needed to restructure a task during authoring. Compliance mapping is done by dragging the relevant parts of the standard to the relevant step - very quickly and efficiently performed - and Callis Author will generate the reverse mapping (from the standard and to the organizational process) automatically.
Integration af figurer Pictures can be integrated into the process description using the External Editor. During upload the picture, Callis Author will read through picture elements and understand which description elements are referred to. Immediately, the references are shown in the table of references extracted and can be verified by the process author. When using references in pictures connected to workflow elements, Callis Author will generate tree overview of workflow automatically. Please notice that you are free to use the pictures you like to communicate the process. We suggest that you use the pictures which are already in use in your organization to make it as easy as possible to understand the process documentation.
